To request a return please contact us via email. The Urbane Cyclist will accept returns of unused, uninstalled, and unridden merchandise within 30 days of the purchase date. Items must be in their original packaging or have tags still attached. Customers will be refunded the full purchase value of the product.
To ensure all customers’ safety, food and beverage products cannot be returned for any reason.
Unless merchandise was shipped incorrectly by The Urbane Cyclist (ex: We sent a tubular tire and your ordered a clincher), we do not cover return shipping costs. If the customer wishes to exchange their merchandise by choice and not due to an error on the part of The Urbane Cyclist, the customer is responsible for shipping charges to resend the exchange merchandise. In this instance, items will be sent by the same shipping method as the original purchase.
Returns received past 30 days of the purchase date are subject to a restocking fee of 15%. This 15% will be applied for each 30 day period that exceeds the initial 30 day return period. Returns for any reason past 120 days of the purchase date cannot be accepted. Please contact us prior to shipping any product back to us for a return as we may not be able to accept it.
If you are returning an item that was originally shipped to you free of charge your refund will be reduced by the original shipping cost, unless our staff shipped an incorrect item or an error was made on our part.
If an item has been damaged during shipping, please contact us immediately with your invoice number and carrier tracking number so that we may expedite a claim.
If an item fails due to a manufacturer’s defect, the fastest way to resolve the issue is to contact the manufacturer directly. Ultimately, they will be the one to assess the damaged product and determine if the problem that arose is indeed a warranty issue.
Most companies’ contact information is located on their website, which can be found through a Google search. Unless instructed to do so by the manufacturer, we advise you not to send merchandise for warranty back to The Urbane Cyclist as this will only lengthen the process. If the customer does elect to utilize The Urbane Cyclist as a middleman, the customer will also be responsible for the shipping cost to the manufacturer. Bear in mind that an item must be approved for a warranty and that simply requesting one does not always result in a new merchandise replacement.
Any tubular tire that has been glued will not be accepted for a return. All tubular tire warranty claims must be sent directly to the manufacturer.
